History:Cedar Post Office was established on March 4, 1898 in Big Horn County prior to the formation of Washakie County. Martha Bull was the postmaster. It was discontinued on May 15, 1902 but re-established on January 10, 1908. It was discontinued again on January 31, 1909 after which its mail was handled by the Tensleep Post Office. Located on Spring Creek. (Wyoming Post Offices) Small town and postoffice in Big Horn County, 46 miles southeast from Basin. Stock raising the leading industry. Population, 10.
