History:The Cheyenne and Burlington Railroad Company was incorporated on April 6, 1887. It ran 29 miles of track from Cheyenne to the Colorado-Wyoming state line near Carpenter where it connected with The Colorado and Wyoming Railroad Company line. These two lines were sold to the Burlington Railway on February 15, 1908. (Annals of Wyoming) Stations on the railroad included Colin, Arcola and Hereford. (Rand McNally, 1889)
